Our Physical Therapists

Cody Young, PT, RPT, Owner

  • Cody was attended physical therapy shool at the Medical College of Ohio after attending undergrad at Bowling Green State University. 
  • Cody has been in Rapid City, self employed for 19 years and have had part ownership in a clinic in Belle Fourche SD and recently became majority owner of another clinic in Black Hawk SD. 
  • Cody has been blessed to be in the position that He is in and could never have been as successful without the help of his wonderful wife and the numerous employees who have contributed to the success of High Plains PT. 
  • Cody has a passion for meeting new people and enjoys helping them with their health concerns but also learning from them and about their families and lives.
  • He still sees the value in attending continuing education seminars and try to find fresh ideas to add to our treatment approach. 
  • Cody truly believes that it is more about “how” we interact and treat the individual then about “what we do to them.”  He strives to give his patients his full attention go the extra mile.
  • Cody has been very active outside of the business. 
  • He has 4 children from ages 13 – 20 and has enjoyed coaching them and cheering them on in their athletic endeavors.
  • He also enjoy exercising, golfing, skiing and bowling. He and his wife Kat also enjoy sharing time traveling and camping. She is the lead singer in a local rock band and I also enjoying following and cheering for her. 

Jason Beilstein, PT, DPT

  •  Jason started working part time for High Plains in August 2016.
  • Jason is originally from Lodi, California and first moved to Rapid City in 2006 to attend the School of Mines.
  • After graduation, Jason moved to Newberg, Oregon and attended George Fox University where he received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy.
  • Jason enjoys working with athletes and recently received certification to be a Sportsmetrics instructor from the Cincinnati Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Center.  (Sportsmetrics is a specialized jump training program that helps prevent ACL injuries in young athletes.)
  • When not in the clinic, Jason enjoys spending time with his wife Becky, daughter Aria, and German Shepherd Rae.

Ryan Buchholz PT, DPT

  •  Ryan Buchholz is a full-time physical therapist who has worked for High Plains since the summer of 2016. 
  • He is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and received his degree from his hometown at the University of Mary in Bismarck, ND in April of 2016.
  • Ryan enjoys the interpersonal aspect of therapy and shows a genuine compassion for those he is treating. 
  • He believes therapy is not only treating the physical body but treating in a holistic manner (body, mind, spirit). 
  • When Ryan is not at the clinic he enjoys spending time with his wife of two years and dog. 
  • His faith is his rock and the reason behind everything he does. He has a large passion for all sports and outdoor activities from hunting to a weekend at the lake.
